So I went to Korea in September of 2006. I didn't have to pay for any food, but I think my parents did at times. Maybe not. Korean barbecue is well-known for it's grill-it-yourself meats wrapped in various types of plants. In other words, yummers!
You can't go to Korea and not eat the barbecue (or you can be me, and get sick of K-BBQ because there was no end to it... I know, that sounds horrible of me. ALL I WANTED WAS A DAMN TACO!)
More of the spread. There are some leaves to wrap the delicious meat, garlic and squash, some spring onion salad, soy bean paste... my mouth is salivating as I type this.
My favorite - the marinated crab, called "kae-jang".
I mean, thinking back on it now, it's kind of like -- why, oh, why would I crave a taco when you could have all of THIS. Maybe I was naive and now am exhibiting greater, aged wisdom. I WANT K-BBQ, NOW!
