Korean barbecue!

So I went to Korea in September of 2006. I didn't have to pay for any food, but I think my parents did at times. Maybe not. Korean barbecue is well-known for it's grill-it-yourself meats wrapped in various types of plants. In other words, yummers!

You can't go to Korea and not eat the barbecue (or you can be me, and get sick of K-BBQ because there was no end to it... I know, that sounds horrible of me. ALL I WANTED WAS A DAMN TACO!)

More of the spread. There are some leaves to wrap the delicious meat, garlic and squash, some spring onion salad, soy bean paste... my mouth is salivating as I type this.

My favorite - the marinated crab, called "kae-jang".

I mean, thinking back on it now, it's kind of like -- why, oh, why would I crave a taco when you could have all of THIS. Maybe I was naive and now am exhibiting greater, aged wisdom. I WANT K-BBQ, NOW!

I won't have any recent photos of food because I have to find my camera charger before I can start taking pictures, and, well, it's a lot easier to say "I need to" than it is to actually go through with finding it. It's there on a list of many things "I need to" do.

Here are a few pictures of food from my trip to Korean a year and a half ago. I'll just keep updating with food pictures I've taken until I find the charger. I have a lot.

Meat for the men. My mom stole me a few bites. Spicy and delicious!

Kimchi dumplings are so much cheaper in Korea than in NY. and so delicious!

Look at that deliciousness!

I just thought this was funny because their faces are so chubby.

joining the blogosphere craze

I have a few other blogs, a couple undisclosed, so technically I'm not just joining because I'm already a part of it. However, I realized that about 65% of my downtime at work is spent looking at other food blogs. This one was inspiring, and since I love cooking and I am obsessed with food - why not post random photos of the things I eat?

Thus the beginning of a new era, on the condition that I actually follow through.
